Nondalton and Newhalen
These two villages are 2nd class cities. The city controlls the land around the town. Also, the city
controlls the taxation rights within their borders.
2nd class cities also have control over the basic operations of health and safety.
They operate the water systems, volunteer fire departments, rescue squads, etc.
Kokhanok, Pedro Bay, Iguigig and Iliamna
These villages are NOT cities. These villages are run by the tribal councils.
They manage all the facilities within thier townships.
All the lands that surround the villages are under Native Corporation management.
